These were four days of valuable communication and insights, bringing together the best minds in technology to discuss, showcase, and explore the innovations shaping tomorrow. From cutting-edge product launches to visionary keynotes, CES provided a platform to engage with industry leaders and emerging trends. Here is a brief follow-up on highlights and takeaways from the event. 

CES 2025 provided a roadmap for the future of technology, demonstrating how innovation continues to address the challenges of today while paving the way for a smarter, more connected, and more sustainable tomorrow.  

CES tech trends  

CES continues to solidify its reputation as a hub for showcasing innovations that promise to redefine the way we live, work, and interact with the world. From advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to HealthTech and sustainability, CES 2025 highlighted trends that will shape the global tech landscape in the coming years.

  • AI and Generative AI  

Artificial Intelligence continued to lead the charge, with Generative AI redefining content creation, driving predictive healthcare, and enhancing personalized experiences. Keynote speakers like Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang highlighted Project Digits, a compact AI supercomputer designed to power AI-driven solutions across industries, from autonomous vehicles to advanced research. During a CES panel, IBM demonstrated the transformative potential of its WatsonX platform, emphasizing how generative AI is already reshaping customer service, creative industries, and software development.  

  • Sustainability  

Sustainability took center stage with innovations that reflect a collective push toward a greener future. Exhibitors unveiled biodegradable electronics, carbon-neutral manufacturing processes, and energy-efficient devices aimed at reducing environmental impact. At the “Tech for Tomorrow” session, representatives from Panasonic shared advancements in battery technology, emphasizing their new generation of solar-powered lithium batteries. Similarly, startups like Aptera Motors showcased solar-powered electric vehicles capable of driving up to 1,000 miles on a single charge.  

  • HealthTech  

Wearable and remote health technologies received a strong spotlight, with devices that push the boundaries of patient care. From continuous glucose monitoring to non-invasive blood pressure tracking, HealthTech continues to revolutionize healthcare accessibility.  

The “Digital Health: Transforming Lives” keynote featured the Omnia AI Smart Mirror by Withings, which provides comprehensive health assessments through 360-degree body scans. Teladoc Health unveiled new advancements in remote patient monitoring, focusing on bridging gaps in rural healthcare systems.  

  • Quantum Computing  

Quantum computing stole the spotlight during several sessions, with leading companies unveiling practical applications for this cutting-edge technology. Nvidia’s Project Digits exemplifies quantum-inspired computing, promising to handle complex calculations that would otherwise take conventional systems years to solve. IBM’s Quantum Lab also demonstrated advancements aimed at solving real-world problems in fields such as logistics optimization and cybersecurity, highlighting partnerships with Fortune 500 companies.  

  • Ambient Computing and seamless connectivity  

The vision for a fully interconnected ecosystem of smart devices is closer than ever. CES 2025 exhibitors focused on intuitive systems that can predict user needs and deliver seamless connectivity across devices. During LG’s “Future of Smart Living” keynote, the company showcased its Signature Smart Instaview Microwave, capable of AI-driven recipe recommendations and energy-efficient cooking. Amazon’s Alexa team revealed upgrades to their assistant, focusing on cross-device functionality and improved natural language processing.

CES Innovation Awards  

The CES Innovation Awards is an annual competition that recognizes exceptional design and engineering in consumer technology products. With 33 distinct product categories, the awards highlight hundreds of honorees each year. However, only one product in each category is selected as the ultimate winner, showcasing the pinnacle of innovation and excellence in the tech industry.  

Some CES winners 2025 are:  

  • Artificial Intelligence — Booxtory by Woongjin ThinkBig is an AI-powered reading platform for people of all ages, which digitizes books in real-time and provides a personalized reading experience based on user preferences. It also includes various sounds and visual effects and additional accessibility for individuals with disabilities.  
  • Digital Health — Hormometer™ by Eli Science, which is the first at-home technology providing real-time health insights from hormones like cortisol and progesterone, in saliva. The test tip should be placed in the mouth and then scanned with the Eli app.  
  • Sustainability & Energy Faraday Reactor by VVAter is an innovative water treatment technology designed to efficiently purify various water sources without chemicals, including wastewater. It’s based on an Advanced Low-Tension Electroporation Process.  
  • Cybersecurity — ScamVanguard by SK Telecom is an innovative software that detects mobile scams combining AI and cybersecurity technology. It can Identify scams through SMS, social networks, and direct phone calls, and block these harmful communications.  
  • Embedded technologies — Q-Vision Pro by Suprema AI is the first on-device AI module that predicts and prevents financial crimes using facial recognition and behavior analysis around standalone devices such as ATMs. 

Global Innovation Scorecard  

CES announced the Global Innovation Scorecard for 2025. They measured the political, economic, and demographic factors that foster innovation in 74 countries. The highest ranking, that of Innovation Champion, honors countries with a diverse and highly skilled workforce, fast broadband, a friendly climate for entrepreneurs, and openness to new technologies. Erkki Keldo, Estonia’s Minister of Economy and Industry, received the award on the stage during the State of the Industry keynote.
