DigitalMara attended Digital Transformation Week 2023 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, from September 26 to 27. The event is fully dedicated to digital transformation and its impact on business and society. It is a great opportunity to get insights from leading digital experts and discover strategies that ensure the success of digital initiatives. Here’s a look at some of the main themes and our impressions and take-aways.

Digital and IT people gathered to share their knowledge and experience on transformation Infrastructure, cloud computing, the future of work and employee experience, automation and sustainability. Experts conducted educational sessions and discussion panels on the following topics:

  • Digital transformation insights: the fundamental components of a robust digital infrastructure, strategies for optimizing existing infrastructure for scalability, flexibility, and cost-efficiency.
  • Digital workplace and employee experience: how to foster a culture of innovation within the workforce, encouraging adaptability, collaboration, and continuous learning, and how to keep employees at the heart of your digital evolution.
  • Sustainability: how digital transformation has become more aligned to sustainability and could help future-proof businesses; which digital tools can aid data-driven sustainability decisions and improvements; methods for cultivating a company-wide culture that promotes more sustainable practices.
  • Technologies in the current digital ecosystem: the latest advancements in AI, ML, IoT, blockchain and quantum computing.

Companies such as Coca-Cola, Netflix and Heineken brought case studies and shared their technology experiences:

  • Coca-Cola’s Agile transformation strategy, including strategic execution, resource optimization, time management, demand alignment, financial and program orchestration, and project selection.
  • Learning Engine from Netflix stands out for seeking to understand the friction users may experience with technology and transforming this friction into intelligence that allows them to improve their products and services.
  • Heineken’s hyper automation, using Open AI and multiple low-code platforms to foster collaboration between citizens and professional developers on a global scale.

This year, the Digital Transformation gathering brought together more than 6000 attendees. That made it a great opportunity for networking and showcasing products and services. An AI-powered app as the official networking solution offered a seamless experience on desktop and mobile.

Our business development team, Kseniya Litvinchuk, Maria Zhurba and Tatyana Vasilkova, attended Digital Transformation and shared their impressions.

  • Digital Transformation is more of an enterprise level event, oriented more on discussion and insights from industry experts, rather than networking. A lot of people came to listen to speakers from Ikea, Coca-Cola, Lenovo, IBM and other authoritative companies.
  • Despite the time limits, we were able to hold effective meetings and establish connections. We met with companies of various profiles and industries.
  • The exhibition was devoted to Big Data, AI and cybersecurity. Big companies presented their innovations. There were all sorts of hardware, including routers and SIM cards. We visited stands of such technology giants as Huawei, Lenovo and GitHub.
  • There were participants from all over Europe. But we would emphasize Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
